JAY ELECTRONICA doesn’t have a Pandora channel?February 17, 2010
I found about Jay Electronica in July of 2009. I was very impressed. Then Exhibit C dropped and I was like man! This guy is serious business with these words and letters mixed together. So, I’m at the office, making ads, talking football, expanding my worldly knowledge, etc. I want to listen to some music so I hit up Pandora. I get a Jay Electronica urge and type in Jay Electronica hoping to get a perfectly selected channel of music all containing and relating to Mr. Electronica’s style.
Then the unthinkable happened?
There’s no Jay Electronica channel. Appalled, I conducted a quick digital music experiment on Pandora. I typed in a search for Drake was quickly rewarded with a Drake channel. Disgusted, I switched stations. Now, I’m not saying that Drake sucks, I am a fan, but neither has released an LP and both started making noise around the same time. For Jay Electronica to have a Pandora channel and Drake not to makes no sense to me at all. So I’m currently writing a letter to Pandora to get their act together or to ordain me their new Dean of Music Channels because I clearly know that they NEED a Jay Electronica channel.
For all of you that think Drake is the biggest thing waiting to happen in 2010. Think again. It is Jay Electronica. You’ve know been exposed, you have no excuses to not be up on Jay Electronica. I am a Drake fan, but for every Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony there is a Dwayne Wade who’s already won a championship. The streets, yachts, intergalactic warriors have all claimed Jay Electronica is not the new King of Rap, He was not chosen to take over the game, but he is simply….
