Albert Haynesworth – “You a bitch, with hoe tendencies”June 22, 2010

Do you remember that lil bitch ass kid in the neighborhood with the nice ball. Everyone wanted to play with it, and it just felt like the game was better when you played with that particular ball. The most important factor wasn’t the ball or the person who owned the ball, but it was the reason for the ball which was the game. The kids that had respect for the game never took their ball and went home until the game was over. Bitch ass kids with hoe tendencies took their ball and went home as soon as they didn’t get their way. Albert Haynes worth is a bitch ass nigga with hoe tendencies and I’ll give you five reasons why.
1. I didn’t signup for this – translation – If I’m not getting my way, I’m not playing
The whole Haynesworth beef is this: he wants to play in a 4-3 defense where he is able to face less double teams and make more plays. The new coaching staff led by Mike Shanahan is going to use a 3-4 defense which will cause Haynesworth to face more double teams and make less plays. The 3-4 is just as effective but Haynesworth won’t be making the plays, the inside linebackers behind him will.
I understand Haynesworth’s stance. According to him, when he came over last year as a free agent, he says he was promised by the organization that they would not switch to a 3-4 defense while he was there. Now, that promise is being broken which is unfair to Haynesworth, but the new coaching staff owes him nothing. The coaching staff didn’t make the promise to Haynesworth, management did.
Now let’s be logical, if the Redskins front office wants Shanahan as their head coach and he tells them he’s going to use a 3-4 defense. Is Dan Snyder, Redskins owner, going to say but we told Albert that we’d only use a 4-3 so we can’t hire a two time Super Bowl winning coach. No, they’re gonna say this coach is going to take us to the Super Bowl, Albert can adjust. The new head coach is a two time Super Bowl winning coach. He knew the players he had coming into Washington and he knows what it takes to win. The new coaching staff knows what they are doing switching to a 3-4 with Albert Haynesworth in the middle of the defense.
2. Your peers are pulling your hoe card
A former teammate in Keith Bullock and highly respected NFL vets, Ray Lewis and Darnell Dockett have been just a few NFL stars to call out Haynesworth’s actions.
Keith Bullock is a former teammate and good friend of Haynesworth, but has been very honest when he says Haynesworth isn’t handling the manner well at all.
“I don’t think he’s handling it the right way, that’s just my personal opinion,” Bullock recently told Adam Schein and Rich Gannon on Sirius NFL Radio. “I think a situation like this probably could be resolved going about it a different way. But at the same time, the Washington Redskins knew who they were getting when they decided to pay him all that money, you know what I mean? The Washington Redskins also, I’m sure, when they paid him that money, they expected him to take that step to become a leader….Albert and I are friends. It goes off the football field. It’s hard, because he is that guy, he’s gonna do what he wants, you see what I’m saying? It’s hard to dissect when it comes to Albert. I respect him as a person and as a football player, but like I said, I don’t agree with how he’s going about this situation. I feel that he knows better and he could handle it better, for the sake of his teammates and for the respect of everybody.”
Darnell Dockett used twitter to go off on Haynesworth.
“I’m a football player,” Dockett said. “Let’s let that be told. You can put me in any scheme, I’m gonna find me a way to make a play, because that’s what i know how to do. You can put me in a 4-8, 3-4, 5-6, 2-11. Whatever you put me in, I’m gonna make a play, because that’s just how I am. I’m not gonna complain about it. and I love the way London Fletcher said football’s gonna be played with him or without him. It’s not about you, it’s about trying to win championships….
“For the highest-paid player on the team to have that type of attitude, man, that’s cancer through a team. I just feel like they’re doing the right thing, keep on moving, but even if he do come back, he’s gonna have to earn respect from the guys in the locker room, and that’s gonna be tough….You got the highest-paid person on the team that don’t want to show up to a mandatory camp and he just got paid $21 million three months ago. Me personally, I could never stand next to a guy like that, because I don’t know where his mind’s at, and he looks to me like he’s selfish.”
Ray Lewis had this to say, when asked how he would handle Haynesworth’s situation.
“I mean, I don’t have to create a response,” Lewis replied. “The response is, whatever you want me to do coach, let’s get it done. If you want to switch the defense because you think it’ll work better in a 3-4 — I played in a 4-3 my whole life, but we switched up to a 3-4.
“Ok, Ray, you’re gonna have to take on more guards, you’re gonna have to do this and that.
“Ok, coach, I’ll adjust. Do I like it? Hmm, nah. But I’ll adjust, so let’s do it, you know what I’m saying? And through that process, I won the defensive player of the year in the 4-3 in 2000, and in 2003 I came back and won the defensive player of the year in the 3-4. So it don’t matter. Bottom line. Bottom line. Football is football, man,…
“No matter what the scheme is, y’all work together as businessmen to get it done. Because that’s ultimately what it is, it’s a business, so let’s come to work and let’s work together to figure this out. Ok, what best fits you? Ok, well, let’s go to this sometimes, and then sometimes you don’t like it, then we’ll switch back to a 4-3, so play with that. But all of this? No, too much. Too much.”
“Without even going long-winded, the word is, bottom line, respect,” Lewis said. “The power of respect is never to disrespect. That’s it. Just don’t ever disrespect the game, because the game will be here, always. Always. All of our time has to pass, and bro, I don’t speak down on him at all. I would love to have a conversation with him, to say to [whom] much is given much is required, brother.
“Sometimes you got to do things you ain’t want to do to get something you ain’t never got. So be ok with it. But you can’t always win selfishly. If you always win selfishly, then I don’t know what the walk of Jesus ever represented then. You’re not winning. You’re not winning. And that’s the things that I would relate to him. Going back to answer the question, if I was one of the spokesmen or leaders on that team, I would say bro, look, I understand you. But look, let’s work this out another way. Let’s get pissed of at somebody that we gotta deal with for 16 weeks,
“And whatever it takes for brotherhood to be formed, that’s what needs to be done. You can take it off the field and I still preach it to every young man that i speak to: do not try to walk through this life by your self. That’s a lonely war. That’s a lonely war. And when you find yourself in the midst, in the midst of these peaks and valleys, it’s too much to deal with yourself bro. And money blinds all of us. Money ain’t the root of all evil, it’s the love of it, and these are the things that are being lost.”
3. What did Haynesworth do last year in the 4-3
Last year Haynesworth racked up 37 tackles, 4 sacks, and 5 passes defensed with 1 fumble recovery. This was his worst season in three years. Yes, he was hurt a few games, but it was still his worst season. His 5 passes defensed was a season high, but if you read between the lines that stat reads, you’re not getting any pressure on the QB and the last possible thing to do is stick a hand up and hope you deflect a pass. Bottom line, I’m blockable, not getting any QB pressure, and probably not worth the 100 million I signed for last year.
4. Don’t knock it til you try it
Haynesworth has never played in a 3-4 defense. All he knows is that he won’t make as many plays. It appears his stat sheet is more important than winning. Vince Wilfork, Casey Hampton, and Haloti Ngata are all top 10 DT’s in the NFL and they all play in and excel in a 3-4 defense. If Haynesworth were open minded and just tried it for a year and hated it, then I could understand his argument, but he hasn’t even tried it for a full season yet.
5. You took the money and ran….word?
Apart of Haynesworth’s 7 year 100 million dollar contract he signed last year was a 21 million dollar roster bonus that he received on April 1st of this year. Now you mean to tell me that you are not going to come to OTA’s and that you are not going to participate in Mandatory Mini-Camp, but you will take the roster bonus of 21 million, and then demand a trade. Not cool at all homie, not cool at all. Don’t forget, a roster bonus of 21 million that you clearly have not earned either.
That’s all I got,
