Coming into the tournament I was excited to have the chance to interview legendary Glenville Academy head coach, Ted Ginn Sr. Mr. Ginn was not able to attend the tournament because of a knee surgery. The man I met, Offensive Coordinator/Assistant Coach Tony Overton was nothing short of a great coach and an even better interview. I’ve been around tons of coaches and this guy can coach at any FBS college in the country and would wreck the whole entire recruiting game.
No one knows what the future holds for Coach Overton, but for now while he’s there the Glenville Academy offense and players are in great hands. He was by far my favorite coach to interact with during my time at the Nike 7ON tournament and it’s easy to see why his players play so hard for him.
