Where MTV lacks the “M” in their name MTV2 picks up the slack. One example being their uber cool “Top 10 Hip-Hop MCs” which is three years running. Their latest concoction, The Sucker Free Hip-Hop Summit, took various Hip-Hop heads/tastemakers doing big thing within in the industry to vote on several topics over the past year such as best verse, breakthrough artist, club banger, etc. There were 50 tastemakers such as Angela Yee, Funkmaster Flex, Uncle Ralph, Green Lantern, Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg, Noah Callahan-Bever, Datwon Thomas, Chuck Creekmur, Eric & Jeff Rosenthal of ItsTheReal, Clinton Sparks, Don Cannon, Greg Street, Michael “5000″ Watts, Julia Beverly, and many more. Check out the winners and the tastemakers. Mark my words, next year, 6Magazine will be a highly respected tastemaker for this joint.
