Football and Hip-Hop are one in the sameSeptember 3, 2010
Is it not obvious the connection between football and hip hop? Youth is served in America on a few distinct platforms being sports, fashion, and music, regardless of race, creed or color. I just bought a Raiders fitted last week not because I give a damn about Al Davis, but because I still love the way NWA rocked the Raiders hats back in the gap (day). That being said, lets take a look at the basics principles that are common ground in football and hip hop.
There are always winners and losers. Jay-Z, Alabama, Nas and the New Orleans Saints are your winners. Your losers being the aforementioned Oakland Raiders and hip hop artists like Mims. More examples of the losers list include Flo-rida and Vanderbilt, D-12 and Illinois. Battles are intense and get everyone’s attention. Auburn vs Alabama is just as important as Jay Z vs Nas. Moreover, this new Rick Ross and Young Jeezy beef resembles the Dallas Cowboys versus the Washington Redskins. The key is there is always beef whether it is lightweight or heavyweight in football and in hip-hop it’s bound to happen any time.
