Here are the Jimmy Awards for the 3rd week of football….

Ryan Mallett, Arkansas QB
Mallett is climbing up the Heisman watchlist. He balled out on the road last week between the hedges and led his team on a game winning TD drive. Overall he threw for 380 yards and 3tds.
Scott Smith, Texas Tech DE
Texas didn’t know what to do with this kid. He single handedly kept his team in the game last week. Check out this stat line…2 sacks, 2 passes defended both of which led to Tech picks, and 1 pick himself. Crazy…that boy balled out!
NFL
Matt Schaub, Texans QB
The Texans QB who led the league last year in passing yards came up big on Sunday. He led his team back from being down 17 points. He connected on 38 of 52 passes for 497 yards and 3 tds.
Antione Cason, Chargers CB
Cason made the fans in San Diego forget about Cromartie, by racking up 6 tackles, 1 forced fumble, and 2 picks in a great win over the Jaguars.
