RIP – Kenny McKinley 1987 – 2010: Highlight TapeSeptember 21, 2010
Last night, Kenny McKinley was found dead. The police suspect suicide. If that’s the case it’s tragic that someone his age and of his level of success would commit suicide. Either way, I don’t know him as a person. I’ve heard great things about him. What I do know was while at South Carolina this kid could ball. He never really had a supporting cast, but he was every bit good enough to hang with the Florida’s, USC’s and Oklahoma WRs of the nation. He was a First Team All-SEC WR in 2007. After 2008, he left South Carolina as their all-time receptions and receiving yards leader.
He was drafted by the Broncos last year, and played in a few games last year as a KR. He was on IR at the beginning of this season. It’s just tragic that he’s no longer here.
