Brett Favre’s Pecker + ESPN + NFL NetworkOctober 8, 2010
I’m not saying anything, but I’m saying something. We all know about the video DeadSpin released yesterday with the voicemails, texts and dick pics Brett Favre allegedly sent to a NY Jets reporter. I use allegedly because it’s all speculation. Everyone is always innocent until proven guilty at least that’s how it’s supposed to work right?
DeadSpin makes a good argument when they say that someone would have to go through a lot of effort to get a phone with a Mississippi area code, take lessons, and look at a NY Jets staff directory list to implicate Jets employees. Point well taken, makes sense, and normally when there is smoke there is fire. Well apparently ESPN nor has the NFL Network heard their fire alarm go off, or even smelled the smoke. I know they see that grey cloud in their office and they are acting oblivious to it.
I love both networks. They dont give me rumors and gossip, not all the time. Remember Tiger Woods little fiasco? When the wreck was first reported we wanted to know if he was okay. And once we knew that ESPN SPECULATED as to why he had the crash. The rumors were mentioned, etc. All this was done before Tiger held his press conference talking about his “transgressions”.
I love my ESPN and I love my NFL Network, and what they are doing is right. They are protecting their brand, good for them. It’s not a black white thing with Brett and Tiger either. I’m just wondering how much of a pass will my FAVORITE QB get. I’m still fair. I know it’s speculation, but I’ve not once heard Cowherd go in on it today, and its not anywhere that I can see on either website’s front page.
Like said, I’m not saying nothing, but I’m saying something. And as my favorite radio personality Colin Cowherd would say, “take your emotions out of it” – Okay, Brett Favre is no longer my favorite QB and he actually sucks…yep..it’s him on those voicemails. “What do you eyes(ears) in this case tell you..what are the facts” – Mississippi phone number, Brett has a distinct voice, and someone really would have to be sick lame jerktard to go through all this trouble to implicate Favre in all this mess, hence, I think it’s Favre.
Like I said, I ain’t saying nothing, but I’m saying something.
