College football is all about tradition. Coaches come and go as do players but their legacies live on as long as the school is winning. In my 28 years, I’ve seen the rise, fall, and rise again of Oklahoma. It looks like Florida State is returning to glory post Bobby Bowden as well. Here’s the top 10 college football ambassadors.
Honorable Mention – Michael Vick – Face it. Did you know what the hell a Hokie was before he hit the scene in ’99?
10. Bear Bryant – Face it, the man is dead and people still rock his hat in the South and no matter how many titles any Alabama coach wins, he’ll never be better than Bear Bryant. .
9. Lou Holtz - He’s in your face talking about college football every Saturday. Besides the fact that I’ve always wondered how the hell he’s 74 going on 24.
8. Bo Jackson – Did you see him at Auburn? I just hope you realize this man would been the Michael Jordan of football.
7. Tim Tebow – He put Florida football back on math, It’s been rumored that he walked into a strip club and all of the strippers walked out nuns, ass implants and all. Don’t be surprised if he comes up with the algorithm to fix the national debt either.
6. Roy Williams – He does that lame ass Texas Longhorn celebration after every touchdown. Homie! You’re in the NFL now not college. He’s like the sophomore in college who still wears his high school championship ring. (Sure, I sound like a bitter Sooner, so what.)
5. Billy Sims – Everyone has a crazy uncle. Billy Sims is OU’s crazy Heisman Trophy winning uncle.
4. Reggie Bush – Why do you think kids keep signing to USC when they know they aren’t going to a bowl game. It’s time to get paid!
3. Kirk Herbstreit – One of the few people that actually knows what they are talking about. He’s an Ohio State Buckeye, but not afraid to tell them when they are tripping. How do the fans repay him? They run him out of town.
2. Joe Paterno – PSU. Paterno State University.
1. Michael Irvin - If you don’t understand why after these videos, you just never will. And that’s just not okay.
