Texas A&M is still leaving the Big 12August 27, 2011
When we first report that the SEC denied Texas A&M, I still had a hunch that they were going to leave the Big 12. I mean, the Longhorns are the king of Texas and TCU is stealing some shine as well. Not to mention that Longhorn network that they were not too happy about.
Texas supposedly threatened the Aggies that if they left the Big 12 their rivalry would be over and they’d be replaced with Notre Dame. The Aggies response was something to the effect of #byenigga.
The reason the SEC “denied” A&M is that the story leaked, they hadn’t worked out all the details, they had no clue who the 14th team would be if they would take one on, and they were rushing the decision. So if you all didn’t think this was coming, I got some Enron stock I want to sell to you.
Reports from the AP are saying that the decision is coming this week. You’ve been warned.
