This weekend twelve of the top 25 teams in this country will face tough road tests. While the theme of this week is the road warrior, the theme in the state of Florida this weekend is defend home. It has been a long time since all three Florida schools were dominant and running college football. Three victories saturday could make things feel like old times in the Sunshine State.
Florida hosts Tennessee with Tyler Bray and Da’Rick Rogers.
Miami hosts Ohio state and talented TE, Jake Stoneburner.
Florida State hosts Oklahoma with Landry Jones (Where has the Stache been at?)
Florida plays its first SEC home game with Will Muschamp as head coach and in typical SEC fashion this will be no cakewalk. Tennessee and head coach Derrick Dooley roll into town with the best aresenal of weapons since Peerless Price was on campus. Da’Rick Rogers is a star wide reciever who likes his plays like he likes his women BIG . In all seriousness, Tyler Bray is one of the best quarterbacks in the NCAA and Tennessee rolls out of Gainesville with a victory for the first time since I was in 4th grade.
#GAMECHANGER, Florida has given up only 3 points all season if they can play like that against a much better Vol team than previous competition look out Florida could be for real.
Miami hosts Ohio State in a game that has been billed in the last month as the“Pergatory Bowl and the “Ineliga Bowl” as both teams are surley headed for sanctions related to extra benefits. However, both teams have great talent, not as much as we thought it would have earlier this year, after Terrelle Pryor bolted to the NFL. Jacory Harris, after and up and down career, gets the start and is hoping to go out with a bang after a one game suspention. Ohio State has a guy that has really impressed me in Jake Stoneburner (fights urge not to make a Stoneburner-Crackhead joke) he really stretches the field, he is a very fluid TE. Ohio State has more QB issues than Miami in my opinion and with Miami returning 3 starters in the front 7 it doesnt look good for the Bucks. Harris excersises some demons from last year’s 4 interception debacle in Columbus and Miami begins what will be a very good year for them after the Maryland game.
#GAMECHANGER, Jordan Hall returns to the Buckeyes after a suspension, he may solidify the offense giving the Bucks a much needed offensive boost helping the Bucks possibly come away from south Florida with a victory.
Florida State hosts Oklahoma in the game of the week. Florida State has been building up for this one for the last two years. Jimbo Fisher has been building a beast in Tally and this weekend is his first chance to see if he built it strong enough. Oklahoma rolls into town after steamrolling the Noles by thirty last year. Florida State is hoping this game marks their return to the nations elite after a long hiatus. Ryan Broyles and the embarrassment of riches at the skill positions like walk-on running back, Dominique Whaley who scored 4 tds in the opener will power the Sooners to victory. FSU has great players across the board, but I think they are a year away as far as having the depth to keep up with Oklahoma. The high tempo Sooners once again roll the Noles by 3 tds.
#GAMECHANGER, Devonte Freeman, FSU freshman RB, one of the most talented freshman in the country and if his compatriots in the backfield can control the clock and keep the Sooners O off the field then the Noles have a chance.
