With Peyton Out, the Colts can Luck upSeptember 27, 2011
Look, Peyton Manning is not getting any younger. Three neck surgeries in the past 18 months is not cool. The man who has been breathing football since he was an embryo has finally been deemed mortal. Literally, Peyton Manning is not walking through that door this year. But if the Colts know what’s good for them Andrew Luck will walk through that door next year.
The Colts should tank their season for Andrew Luck. Yes, Peyton signed a nice new deal, but he’s got three productive years left, max. You ask why the Packers are still winning? Because they drafted Aaron Rodgers while Brett Favre still had gas left in the tank. Rodgers didn’t play until his third year in the league and once he got on the field he was awesome because he got to learn from one of the best. Luck is already better than half the current NFL QBs. If you draft him and let him sit behind Peyton for a few years, he’ll be the beautiful chick with the fat ass, wavy hair, that’s sexy as fuck, has a dope job and can cook you’re mama under the sink. Just a thought.
Fans may not want to hear drafting Luck, but NFL GMs don’t make decisions for the fans. GMs are like football stock brokers. They buy, sell, and literally trade players left in right to improve the stock of team. If they know what’s good for them, they’ll tank it this year and draft Andrew Luck. Who are the Colts biggest rival? The Patriots, and who did they draft in April? Ryan Mallett who made preseason look like he was still slinging it at Arkansas against FCS teams. The Pats drafted Mallett for their health, their future health. You’re move Colts.
