6 Thoughts: Matt Barkley’s “Senior Year”December 20, 2011
Just a few thoughts, six to be exact on if USC QB, Matt Barkley, comes back for his senior year. He’s not coming back? No one thought Andrew Luck would come back either. Try again.
1. A Heisman Trophy would be dope.
2. If he stays, he’ll still have Robert Woods and Marqise Lee to throw the ball too.
3. The Trojans WOULD win the National Championship next year. (If you think about it, it’s not that bold of a prediction, and yes anything can happen….just like the world “could” end tomorrow)
4. The NFL money ain’t what it used to be for first round draft picks.
5. Sam Bradford was the projected #1 pick at the end of his junior year, but he came back as a senior and got hurt. Sam Bradford was still the #1 pick. Andrew Luck was the projected #1 pick his junior year, came back…didn’t get hurt and will be the #1 pick this season.
6. He already comes from money. He’s the starting QB at USC…that has to pay something, sanctions or no sanctions, yanno.
But what do you think? Is he coming or staying? Let me know.
