6 Thoughts: Why aren’t we making a bigger deal out of Julian EdelmanDecember 3, 2011
Julian Edelman, the New England Patriots slot WR, is also playing nickel back for the Pats because of all their injuries in the secondary. Playing both on both sides of the ball isn’t easy, so why aren’t the media and the fans making a bigger deal out of it?
1. He’s white??? I’d figure because of his race people would make his two way efforts a really big deal.
2. He hasn’t made a big play interception yet. When Troy Brown went both ways for the Pats he actually came up with key interceptions.
3. He’s playing in the slot, it’s not like he’s out wide like Darrelle Revis.
4. We might make a bigger deal out of it if he started at WR and DB.
5. It’s Julian Edelman…it’s not like he’s a superstar?
6. Deep down, we all know it’s just a temporary fad.
This is no shade to Edelman at all. I think it’s an awesome feat that should be acknowledged. I’m just wondering why more people aren’t making a bigger deal out of it.
