Aleon Craft x George Clinton – “Mothership: The Decatur Connection”
George Clinton is the forefather of the widely celebrated and memorialized G-Funk sound that revolutionized rap as a whole and put the West Coast on equal footing with their East Coast contemporaries. He’s also the forefather of the less celebrated but no less influential funkdafied sounds of the South that arose a little behind but mainly alongside G-Funk out west. With a direct line of influence that can be seen in the sounds of the South’s best it’s only right that he hooks up with the underrated Aleon Craft. Two aliens getting together to make a connection with Mothership George Clinton recorded three new tracks for the project.
