Success breeds contempt. As one of the first artists to come out of Dallas and sustain a steady national profile since The D.O.C. (who no one really counts) and Erykah Badu the city asks a lot of Dorrough. The coffee shop set couldn’t relate to his music if he was their first cousin and while he certainly has fans in the hood the trap rap set finds him insufficiently menacing. Either way Dorrough Music is steady doing him and cranking out genuinely enjoyable music without regards to audience. Drama know’s what’s up so Dorrough and DJ Drama link up again for “Silent Assassin”.
