Monday Morning Cornerback: Week 16December 26, 2011
Here are my quick hits and jukes from the past week’s football action.
Florida International University may have lost their bowl game…but that program is on the rise.
The early bowl games are all about who wants to be there and who doesn’t…case in point the TCU vs. LA Tech this past week. TCU should have won by a landslide.
I don’t care how you feel about Boise State or Kellen Moore…he won 50 games in four years. Impressive…I salute you sir.
Southern Miss’ QB, Austin Davis, is pretty good. Head Coach, Larry Fedora, did a great job leading them to a 12-2 record…now he’s off to UNC to hopefully do the same.
The Texans “lost” to a Peyton Manning-less Colts team? Sure technically they did, but I don’t buy it. The Texans have dealt with Peyton Manning since 2002. They have been kept out of the playoffs because of the Colts for the past 8 years. Do you think they are going to “help” the Colts draft Andrew Luck? Naw cuz….the Texans threw that game.
Don’t get too hype about that Ravens win…their quarterback play is still very suspect.
The real Tim Tebow is starting to stand up, and I told you the Bills were due for a win sooner or later.
So basically Tampa Bay has just given up on the season. We’ve raved about Tebow all season, can we please rave about a 12/17 3 touchdown strike performance by Cam Newton? Oh yeah, Cam also ran one 49 yards for a touchdown too.

Patriots won by only three points because of their defense. That same defense will be their downfall in the playoffs.
Well..we told the Jets to take the reigns off of Mark Sanchez and Saturday they did. He want 30/59…and the Jets lost mostly in part because of Sanchez. Happy now guys?
If the Rams get the first pick…should they draft Andrew Luck?
Why did Charlie Batch start and not Dennis Dixon.
I didn’t watch one lick of the Titans vs. the Jaguars…not even going to lie to you.
Thoughts and prayers are with Adrian Peterson. Speedy recovery my friend!
The Lions in the playoffs for the first time in 11 years and Matthew Stafford is only 23 years old!
Why couldn’t Philly play like this all year?
