When I was younger I used to get teased for my low-key crush on Tina Turner. I still haven’t forgiven my Grandmother. But seriously people don’t appreciate how bad of a woman Tina was. Look at that picture. It makes me want to build a time machine. Compound that with her amazing talent on display in the song below and you gain a greater appreciation for why she was on top of the game. Singing about the universal scenario of finally saying yes only to be met with indifference.
