They won the Super Bowl. Nothing else really matters after that, but if you’re keeping score the G-Men started off slow and got hot late in the season and rode that momentum all the way into the Super Bowl. The same thing happened with the Green Bay Packers two seasons ago.
Eli is back. Really, that’s all that matters. In today’s NFL when it seems like the ball is thrown more times than pitches in a baseball game, you need a dope quarterback and Eli is just that. I wonder if Eli will finally be recognized as one of the games best QBs. Ahmad Bradshaw is poised for a breakout season…watch him go over 1,200 yards this season. The Giants lost Mario Manningham, but Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks will not mind the extra passes coming their way. The offensive line will be awesome this year as well. The only thing the Giants are small at on offense is the tight end position, not sure who is going to emerge as the starter this season.
The only thing that matter is the Nascar package. The defense goes as the defensive line goes and the team was able to resign Osi Umenyiora, which was huge. The team lost CB, Aaron Ross, which wasn’t expected to be a huge blow with Terrell Thomas coming back from injury. But…..Thomas partially tore his ACL for the third time in his career earlier this week. Not good….
The NFC East is the Giants’ to lose. It’s very tough to repeat as a Super Bowl champion but the Giants have the best QB and coach to get it done. They keep their mouths shut, their heads down and they just play football and win. The Giants will go deep in the playoffs again, but the football gods will not be in their favor as they’ll lose in the Divisional Playoffs.
That’s all I got,
