Last season
In Brian Kelly’s second year, the Irish went 8-5 which isn’t bad. Let’s face it the Irish has lost their lore from days past in the early 90s. The most interesting thing about the Irish’s season is that they’ll be playing their first game in Dublin, Ireland.
2012 Offense
Who’s going to play quarterback? Last year’s starting QB, Tommy Rees will suspended for the season opener. Does this mean, we’ll see Gunner Kiel? The Irish brings back an awesome tight end in Tyler Effert and running back Cierre Wood. Other than those two, there is not much to be desired about the Irish’s offense
2012 Defense
Anchoring the defense is the middle linebacker, Manti Te’O who is an absolute star. As with Irish teams of the past, they’ve always recruited well on offense and been atrocious recruiting on defense and it’s showed on the field. Expect much of the same this year.
Outlook
The Irish will have a tough season. They play Michigan, Michigan State, Miami, Oklahoma, Stanford and USC. If they can steal one of those games and win every other game on their schedule then they should go 8-5, but being realistic, the Irish is going to finish 6-6.
