Monday Morning Cornerback: Week 1September 4, 2012
Yes, I know it’s Tuesday, but because of the holiday we are doing our first edition of Monday Morning Cornerback today. Here are my quick hits and jukes from this past weekend’s Top 25 College Football teams.
Vanderbilt looks good. South Carolina needs a quaterback, because Connor Shaw is not the move. Marcus Lattimore won’t be Marcus Lattimore until about week 4.
Granted it’s the first game over the year, but Michigan State is overrated. Boise State won’t make BCS noise this year, but they will be competitive.
If Stanford is struggling with San Jose State then it’s going to be a long season for them.
I don’t even care about the score of the USC game, they played Hawaii so you knew the outcome at that game. But did you see those spats they were rocking?!?! Goodness!
I really don’t know what to say about the Bama vs. Michigan game. I really thought Michigan would cover the +14 spread. There is not a better coach in football, college or pro, than Nick Saban.
Everyone else in Louisiana bailed on their games this past weekend except for LSU. Nothing that that Mad Hatter does surprises me. Thank God Odell Beckham is wearing a real number now also.
OU looks terrible. Absolutely terrible. They must improve their run defense ASAP.
Bruh…those Oregon uniforms though?!?! Man! And De’Anthony Thomas touched the ball seven times and scored three. He’s like crime in Compton, no matter where he is on the field, he can get it popping.
Aaron Murray is a darkhorse Heisman candidate, and he has the prettiest release in all of college football.
I didn’t watch nan bit of the Florida State or Arkansas games.
Sure West Virginia put up 69 points, but they got 34 points hung on them by Marshall.
Wisconsin is not that bad. I’m just going to chalk this up to it being their first game of the season.
Everyone is saying Florida State is back, but Clemson is going to give everyone they play the drugs this year, including the Noles.
If the Texas Longhorns want to succeed this season they’ll start Case McCoy.
People said Oklahoma State ran up the score because they scored 84 points, if they really wanted to run up the score, they would have scored 100.
Ummm, yeah, didn’t watch the Kansas State game. Sorry Wildcats fans.
The two QB system doesn’t work. Someone tell that to Will Muschamp please.
Teddy Bridgewater looks really really good. He needs to fill out, but the Big East is Lousiville’s to lose this year.
Everyone loves Logan Thomas, but I think the kid is overrated. And what the hell did Georgia Tech do to be punished by the football gods — they are wearing Russell Athletic jerseys?!!?
